It failed, and to mark the event rag doll ‘Guys’ - an effigy of Guy Fawkes are burnt on the bonfire and fireworks are set off.
For most people, Guy Fawkes Day or Bonfire Night is a good excuse to have a firecracker of a party! People let off some fireworks and watch the flames of bonfires leaping into the night sky.
